Early morning and late afternoon top water continued to provide good action using spooks, Rapala Pop-R’s, and Buzzbaits worked over grass flats. When the bite slowed we turned Mussel Crawler Jigs from Tightline Jigs, 1.5 crankbaits, and Super Bug D-Bombs from Missile Baits rigged for punching the grass along channels. Water temperatures dropped a little this week with the cooler nights, but seem to gain it back by days end; temperatures range from 79 - 84 degrees. The typical frog bite spotty at best, mainly because the grass just has not developed as normal - I look for the frog action to really pick up later in September and October if the weather cooperates. All fish where caught, pictured once and released. It’s time to get your dates reserved for the fall frog and flipping/punching action. I have days and professional guides available; make your reservations now for some great action on Guntersville or Tim’s Ford with full time Professional USCG Licensed and Insured guides. We supply all fishing gear including Duckett Fishing Rods, LEW’s reels; Top quality lures such as Rapala Lures, Missile Baits, Tightline Jigs and Vicious Line. We offer a Military Discount and the dedication to making your trip successful. “Let’s go fish’ in”

Visit www.midsouthbassguide.com for more photos and follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/MidSouthBassGuide for on the water updates
