2-3 April 2014 Lake Guntersville – Had another father and son the last two days and they had a blast! Both Dad and Dave caught the biggest largemouth ever both just over 7.50 pounds and each day boating well over 20-30 fish. Both days we caught them in water ranging from 2-8 foot. We fished focused on the Middle to lower lake areas from Water Front down to Siebold. Water temperatures are in the 61 to 67 degrees, Our best results continue to come on T-Rigged D-Bomb (Super Bug and Candy Grass) from Missile Baits, Tightline Football head jig (Guntersville Special and Green Tequila) with twin turbo tail trailers from Missile Baits in 4-8 FOW and we caught a couple yesterday on a Assassinator “Slam’in Guntersville Red” Buzz Bait. Now is the time to get you reservations in for the start of top water bite in April and the Shad Spawn in May. I’d like to say a special thanks to Donnie Story who stopped and took a couple photos today for me and Hemstock Tree Service out of Huntsville AL for the assist with a major project at the house.
