Oct 4, 2014 Lake Guntersville – It appears summer has departed and fall has finally arrived! The bass remained scattered and finicky over the past week with the first real cold front of the year hitting us. But my clients still managed to catch several nice fish on 30Acre “Dirty Shad” swim baits, Tightline jigs, Pro-Z Frogs, D-bombs and Tomahawk Worms from Missile Baits along with Rapala X-Rap Pop-R’S. Highlight of the week was JR Elderidge’s biggest bass ever, 9.61 Toad caught on a PRO-Z Frog. Water temperatures today range from 71 - 76 degrees. With the cooler night time temperatures and shorter days upon us, I believe we’ll see a great fall bite start to develop over the next week or so. If anyone is head to Guntersville be sure to check on the cabins at Waterfront Bay Resort…you will not be disappointed. It’s time to get your dates reserved for the fall frog, top water and flipping/punching action. I have days and professional guides available; make your reservations now for some great action on Guntersville or Tim’s Ford with full time Professional USCG Licensed and Insured guides. We supply all fishing gear including Duckett Fishing Rods, LEW’s reels; Top quality lures such as Rapala Lures, 30 Acres Swimbaits, Pro-Z Frogs, Missile Baits, Tightline Jigs and Vicious Line. We offer a Military Discount and the dedication to making your trip successful. “Let’s go fish’ in”
