Sept 18, 2013 Lake Guntersville – The past week conditions remained up and down each day. Best bet was to cover water. Each day we caught several 2 to 4 pound fish mainly flipping D-Bombs or working SPRO Frogs over thick grass. My clients all had a lot of fun with good frog bite using SPRO 65 Bronze Eye Frogs around matted and/or scattered grass, even with missing more than our fair share. The bigger fish seemed to hit when the frog was sitting dead still. When that action slowed during day, we backed out and flipped D-Bombs and Tightline Jig’s on grass lines in 10-15 FOW on creek channels. Water temperatures ranged between 74 and 79 degrees depending upon location. Heads up for the tournament guys out there, The Bait, Tackle and Grill at Goose Pond will be running a Saturday morning tournament series starting the first Saturday in October for the fall. I have days available throughout the fall, make your reservations now for some great fall action on Guntersville or Tim’s Ford with full time Professional USCG Licensed/Insured guides. We supply all fishing gear including Duckett Fishing Rods, LEW’s reels; Top quality lures such as SPRO Crank baits and Bronze Eye Frogs, Missile Baits, and Tightline Jigs. We offer a Military Discount and the dedication to making your trip successful. “Let’s go fish’ in”
