I went down with a friend a couple of years ago about this week. We started at Goose Pond and fished about a half a day without success...We loaded up and put in at Mud Creek and were trying to force feed `em a rat...couldn`t get any takers so we finished up at the main channel and caught a few swimming a worm along the edge of the grass lines just downstream from mouth of Mud Creek.
Just about the same conditions as now......WAY TOO HOT emoHoppingmad emoHoppingmad emoHoppingmad
Good Luck ...and a late Happy B-Day !!!

Bet the water temp. in the creek is over 90 by mid morning right now. I believe I would be on the river if I was fishing there. Let us know how it goes.

if there not pulling water stay home ,lol. fish the edge of the creek channel going out to the river with big spinnerbaits and big worms

Thanks, as i said our main purpose is to mark the channel. I'll probably run out and fish the river and mouths. Thanks guys

Last Summer I caught a few fish by drifting the creek channel and tossing dingers/ senkos to the scattered grass on the North side of the Creek channel heading toward the river. Never did catch any big ones but did have some fun. If the creek does not pan out go out and fish the ledges above and below Belefonte Island.

BPrice have you tried using microsoft virtual earth for the satalite images? it seems to have higher res. images
than google and most of them for that area are winter pool levels another plus is that it gives lat/long for your cursor position that you can use on you GPS. fyi the google earth doesnt have the hi res image of the area and
yahoo's version dosn't give lat/long although the images are higher res.

i have been trying all 3 this week to scope out different fishing spots for when i get better enough to get the
bullet back on the water.

I like Flashearth.com It gives you the option of using several sites of the same exact image without jumping around on different sites. The nice thing is you can zoom in, then check all the options to see who's is best for that area. Every area is differnet, so try them all when viewing. I use it for hunting grounds, and its wild seeing the diffent maps as logging operations change things so drasticaly, and all the mapping pics were taken at different dates! Another thing I like is that you can rotate the image as you see fit, so printing a map from the aspect of hunting camp or a dock or ramp is a plus!

Just trim it up and go! Killed alot of ducks in there.
Seriously though just take it slow if you stay on the right hand side you cant get into too much trouble. It gets alittle tricky once you get under the RR bridge. Take some bug spray.

hey you dont got a mark it..... go under 1st bridge @ramp hug riprap go 30 yds pt boat right a@ pt of little island pass little island on left then head straight to right hand bank and hug 15 ft of water here trim up go fast and go right under middle section of rr bridge look out on left for submerged fence row. lots of grass after #2 bridge will tell u where to run and where not I FIND MYSELF IF YOU JUST TURN OFF DEPTHFINDER YOU DONT GET NEAR AS SPOOKED BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW HOW DEEP IT IS ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!.

good luck take a lot of water
IT WAS SO HOT THIS WEEK I SAW THE DEVIL STANDING IN THE SHADE!!!!!!!!!!!!
