I’ve never had much confidence or luck in really muddy water like we’ve seen a lot lately. Does anyone like it when it’s this muddy and willing to share a hint or two as to why?
fished a good looking mud line in shallow water yesterday, in a place I usually catch some shallow and never had a bite. There is muddy and then MUDDY!! I think some color is good, as Rusty mentioned, but real heavy muddy water is a turn off for me. I have always heard that in that case you should try to find a good rip rap bank and pick it apart with a jig.
I like to think that fish let their guard down and you can get away with more. Slow rolling single colorado spinnerbaits or the oklahoma blade works good for me.
