I thought I would go for a change to get away from all the dink crappie I have been catching. I went to Nickajack and fished Mullins Cove. I was right about getting away from the baby crappie, Did not catch a single crappie that was not a good sized keeper. Today was definitely quality over quantity. Only Seven were brought to the boat today but they were worth going for. The total weight of seven crappie was 9.085 pounds.

I think the moon has the big crappie a little hard to get right now. Or it sure seems that way to me. Even with the help of my little friend I only brought home Seven(7) Crappie. All the ones caught were Black Crappie and were fat. I see big white Crappie slabs quiet a bit but fewer black Crappie as big as some of the ones I got today.

I started out at Mullins Cove trying to find some old brush stored on my GPS. Caught only one fish in the 8' - 10' water on a Firecracker grub on an 1/8oz jighead. Moved to 5' - 7' water and trolled Tuffies for the rest of the fish today.

The first pic is the seven fish total for today.
The second pic is two of the biggest

way to go. nice fish. By the way, I caught 22 crappies on Sunday - 7 really nice slabs using the methods you have discussed on this site. I fished around harrison bay and WT.

I see that you caught'em in the "grass", Mr Liveliner. They do tend to get shallow this time of year. emoUpsmile emoUpsmile emoGeezer
