Anybody know what happened at the motel beside the waffle house at the Ooltewah exit? I was driving to work about 6:45 am Wednesday morning and got to the stop light there and noticed probably a dozen police cars in the parking lot of the motel. There was yellow crime scene tape around the entrance to the motel and what appeared to be a body covered with a sheet laying on the concrete inside the yellow tape at the motel entrance doors. When I came back through about 9:30 or 10:00, there was what appeared to be crime scene investigators loading up their gear into 2 white trucks and a TV camera in the parking lot. I searched the interenet throughout the day and watched the local news channels at 6pm and 11pm to see what happened. NOTHING ON THE INTERNET AND NOTHING ON THE NEWS. It amazes me how the police can control the media and keep what infomation they want from the general public.
I had a close friend who was a high ranking official in the police department years ago and he told me that there is so much information withheld from the public. He gave me an example of Hamilton Place Mall. He said if you knew half of what really went on there, you wouldn't let your wife or daughter go there alone.

We don't go to Hamilton Place- can't afford it. It will take a while to get the news out. I'm surprised aa many reporters monitor police scanners.

I saw it as well, not sure if it was a murder, or homeless guy etc. It was about 8:20 when I went through there and there was just 4 police cars there at that time.

Interesting that there was a TV news camera/crew set up and filming, but nothing ever made the news??? Even a dead homeless guy like spurhunter suggested would be news worthy. Obviously a reason they are keeping this very hush hush.

It's just like the small plane that supposedly crashed in Harrison Bay several months ago. Never heard a thing about it.

I realize about the depth of the water, even a small plane would be visable. Plus the oil and gas would really visable. What I don't understand is, who reported it going down. Since it was reported on the news. Then nothing. Did the tv station get fooled? Just curious.

I sent my buddy a note, works at channel 9.....he said he would ask at morning meeting.

On that "plane crash" there is at least one sea plane in this area.Somebody might have seen it go down for a landing and thought it crashed
