My first trip of the year to Wolftever Creek today. I'm running way behind visiting the creek mostly because of lousy water conditions. I got there at 11:00 am and water temperature was only 50 degrees - about the same as the lake. I was hoping for warmer. I caught a 14.25 inch TARP ( Tennessee Angler Recognition Program ) white crappie on my third cast and then a mix of black and white crappie. Some shorts - some keepers. I fan cast the flats in about 8 feet of water. Almost all of my fish were caught on Crappie Dawg Custom Baits in the Zesty Lemon color on 1/32 oz. Road Runner jig heads.
