TWRA is hoping in a few years you might be able to catch one of these out of Parksville Lake in Polk County. They released 600 musky there in hopes Parksville might become a musky destination like the Collins River or Melton Hill.

Here are the details: http://bit.ly/2AOclzh

Cool............. aren't they the fish of a thousand casts. i will probably give up before i ever catch one. LOL

Wow! I can't believe that! Crappie seems to be coming along good too. That would be pretty cool to get one of those there in a couple of years. I can't tell my wife or she might never go swimming with me there again! haha

We’ve caught some big northern pike in upstate New York in the past. Those don’t get as big as a musky I don’t think. Lots of teeth, but tons of fun.

Hope there was given some thought to this. No I'm not a biologist and a big believer in Mike Jolly and crews efforts. Some other species were stocked about 4 years ago and was looking forward to catching. Hope the Mucky doesn't have an effect on them.

elwestb - 12/13/2017 8:41 AM Many years ago I know that there was some stocked in Carter's Lake. Do any still remain?

Earl, I’ve never heard of anyone catching one in Carters anytime recently .</p>

That's about what I thought Chris. At one time there was stockings of Musky and Smallmouth both but I hadn't heard of either species being caught in the last 8-10 years.

There was a musky caught below parksville dam several years ago it was 45 or 50 inches long the man that caught it name was Tick he owned a store at one time and he mounted the musky and kept it in his store.
