I didn't make it to the woods this morning. Waited until this afternoon to make my first trip of 2013.
I had been in the stand for exactly 10 minutes when I saw a doe running, with a limp down the ridge. I thought I had been busted and was sort of bummed out. Then I heard more running on the ridge. Three Coyotes were trailing the doe. Two stayed on her trail and the third one, hooked a left. I guess he was going to try to get ahead of the doe. He chose the wrong path. I busted him at about 20 yards. The other two ran back up the ridge.
