Liveliner - 9/30/2010 10:13 PM Deer in your back yard are automatically PETS and off limits to harvest. Go buy some of that cheap Wal-Mart Corn and start shooting more Pics.
Whoa ,,, That sounds kind of "Treehuggerish". Not me, I have had deer meat three times this week. I most likely deer hunt more than ninety percent of other hunters.

What I was getting at is that I would not shoot that Buck since it iscomingto your house where you can watch it. The woods are full of wild deer to shoot. One that is "TAME" and allows you get a pic is special, therefore I personally would feed and watch that big guy. You may be realsurprisedwhen he brings his big brothers into your yard.

If you do not feel the way do, then PLEASE put my name in the hat to come visit you. I have a Ten Point Pro-Elite crossbow and a Muzzy broadhead with Bucky's name on it.

There are several positive notes about shooting pet deer.
1. You don't have to freeze your tail off sitting in a treestand waiting for "Bucky"
2. You don't have to buy any expensive camo. (pj's will work from the bedroon window)
3. You don't have to drag the deer over hills and through swamps. (back the truck right up to him and load him up)
4. You don't have to have an expensive license to hunt your own property.
5. You will not need to fertilize your lawn. (blood and guts make great fertilizer)
6. You don't ever have to worry about the neighbors bothering you. (now they know you have a big gun and will use it)
Now I really don't know about this kind of thing. I am just assuming these things here.
Ain't that right Spur.
You are correct. God put animals on this earth to feed us, and ANY deer that isn't diseased is fair game for the grill/smoker. Backyard deer included in this.
