Hello everyone. I hope you won't mind me sharing this with you too. this boat is a 1984 15ft hydro-sport bass boat, I purchased it from a man that bought for him and his boy's and ultimately after some troubles with health and other things, the boat sat in the weather for three years, I saw it and thought that would be a good boat with some good old fashion elbow grease. I picked it up for a great price. hope maybe it will encourage someone to start a project of their own.

Wow James you are surely talented at restoring a boat. Maybe you should go into business doing that.emoThumbsup

Thank you cheez, we haven't met yet but some of the people you know, I have met.

really look forward to some fellowship and some fishing, take care bro:

James you have done a great job on the restoration, I guess there are plenty more out there that can be done the same way. I used to do the same thing to the aluminum flat bottom jon boats, pick em up cheap, fix them, then sell them.

Yup James the motor on that boat right there came from one of my bestest friends in the whole wide world.

Thanks Doc I appreciate what you said, I have talked with my wife about doing more of this, Or even helping other boaters with restoration projects,

Thanks much G3 and blazer, one thing i did not do was show the new instrument panel, i searched all around for a good Tach finally went to auto zone, bought one on sale for 30$. Mount works fine as well as mounting a new hummingbird 525 works well. very surprised good unit. I did do some fiberglass repair on the compartment lids for more strength. "I'm not exactly tiny."Here is a neat little trick if having to run new wire, cables, i worked as a electricians helper and learned some cool trick's, I found a 1/4 inch X 5ft copper rod one that i could bend, i took some pliers and made a hook at one end then taped my wires to it and made for a simple job, Inserting into the side gunwale and ran through to the instrument panel, once i used a fishing Rod,

Congrats on a job well done, emoThumbsup I've done some of that and I know how
much time and hard work it takes to make something out of nothing, so to speak. emoToast
Hope I get a chance to see it in person. Keep up the good work, emoSmile

Wow, what a difference! Looks like a wellcared for boat now! So have you got the skunk off that thing yet? If not, holler at me and we can put some smelly fish stuff all over it!

I would like to say very nice boat indeed. James did a Great Job on it, and I finally got to take it out on the water friday. She ran like a charm and looks twice as good. Would like to say that he does A + work and takes his time to work on his "baby's"

I've seen some of James projects before and after and He really does make em sturdy and great looking. Very nice work. emoThumbsup emoThumbsup
