Well, with the new job comes new headaches and I'm not sure how much time I'll get on the water. If things go according to plan, and they usually dont..LOL, I should be able to maintain my time that I have now..

Anyways, since I've been here, I've learned quite a bit about Chick and techniques used in general fishing. I thought I'd go ahead and thank the many people that have showed me those things and taught me so much.

Whiskers showing me the basics of Pig N Jig and SPAWWWT Mastering.

Flip for putting the icing on PignJigin. Hes pretty darn good with one!

DD22FISH for taking me and showing me what to look for and tossing that Crank Bait! The man truly loves crankin!

Rogie Brown for taking me one day and giving me a short lesson in sonar. He knows what to look for!

PoloDogs Dock shooting 101 class! Gotta love that one!

Treeman Allen Lewis for how to handle a fast boat..LOL! Actually, his technique for spoon casting has helped me tremendously!

Allot of other people I've rode with and took have narrowed down some great colors, hook sizes, what to use on each ect...Its been a great experience!

From the Dogfights to our CFF Txes, I've gain ALLOT of knowledge. I just need more time on the water to really tune them in!

DHaun, you get the biggest Thanks because without this site, myself and many others would'nt have met people, formed some GREAT friendships and learned what we have. Kudos to you and all the members here at CFF

Now on to Winter fishing...its around the bend!

Tight Lines everyone!!!!

Billy, what you have experienced with CFF and the folks that make it successful is what the forum is all about. Thank you for your contribution to the site. We haven't fished together yet, but we will someday. See you then on the water.

Im with you billy I am grateful for everything I have learned from all the masters I have met here! Even that Davo character showed me some things that I have used to catch more fish

Your welcome Billy.

I almost started a thread like this so everyone could share what they had learned from the forum.

I would put Dhaun on top for showing me jigging spoons. I mean check out my post from tonight for proof. I have probably caught more fish jigging spoons in the part year than I have on any other lurer.

Rsimms for taking me on my first trip to the Riverpark. Although I almost never catfish up there it got me started fishing up there and things progressed from there. This just goes to show that a little bit of knowledge sharing may turn into a lot.

Jmax for showing me some stuff on the Chick. I have caugth a lot of LM on the Chick this year and most of them are due to Jmax.

I am sure the other 27 memember that I have fished with have shown me something but the 3 above have made the most impact.

Thanks for starting the post Billy. We gotta get back down to the Riverpark, I got some spoon jigging to show you.emoCool

I'm like you Billy, I have gained a huge ammount of info from all of the posts and all of the people that I have met through the forum. It truly has been a blessing. I'm glad that I was one that you feel has contributed to your good year of fishing.

I have only fished with a few, but the reading has been a tremendous help to me. Thanx to you guys for keeping up the fishing reports and Dhaun gets the biggest thanx of all for putting up with all of us aholes.

Flip, BBass, Whiskers, Dhaun, Polo, Drumking, Mad Bomber,Jason, Ranger Rob, Bprice, Fat Albert, Richard Simms, FishinFool, Fishinvol, Churly, Fisherpal2k, Crazyaboutbass, Davo, Jmax, Pointer, and the rest of you who post fishing reports, thanx for the great reading.

CFF has become much more than I ever thought it would...I was thrilled over 2 years ago when there were just 20 anglers posting reports and helping each other out. Since then I have learned numerous generic patterns and feeding habits from posts as well as what species would be biting certain lures different times of the year, thereby, helping me to plan more efficient and productive trips.

The reports also provide great entertainment seeing other angler's experiences on the water. This helps me to get more excited about the next time I can go fishing! However, I think my best education has been from spending time on the water with other members applying the theories and recommendations speculated online. I have also been educated at numerous conservational levels, seen some great deals posted, learned about the best products to purchase, and learned some interesting philosophies on life from being exposed to the wisdom of older anglers.

This site is a lot of work and has its share of issues to deal with, but it has been worth it so far. There have been many charitable contributions made by numerous CFF members. Knowing the site has been used as a medium to reach out and help others with benefit events and donations makes it all worthwhile. There are givers and takers in everything in life. CFF has both, but simply would not exist without the anglers who take a few minutes to give something back.

It certainly would not have existed this long without those who consistently post reports. I am very thankful to those who have kept this site going!
