Ramar has missed 4 layups and missed his last 6 FTs. That will kill you every time.

Just way way too many whistles. To start the game, I thought it was all against Tennessee, but as the game went on it evened out pretty well. Neutral court and the Vols smash em. Just like they did at home.

Yep, missed freethrows killed them, and will be a big problen in tournament play.

I was dissapointed to see em lose. #1 for only a lil over 24hrs. & it took them almost 100yrs. to get there...OUCH!Its still pretty early though.

As Dickie V would say "ONE AND DONE BABY!" It seems Memphis and UT forgot about the other great basketball team in Tennessee,
Vanderbilt. I believe it was Vandy that knocked off #1 Florida last year.emoPoke

Vanderbilt is only tough at home. They have some great talent and a good coach, but even with Tennessee playing bad all night and missing lay ups and free throws over and over, still only lost by 3. Not really a bad loss, and they still have the number 1 RPI. They will get a 1 or 2 seed in the tournament if they can win out.

They were just too tired after the big emotional win at Memphis. Thats alot to ask of any team to play 2 ranked in-state rivals on the road in a matter of 3 days. The Vols are definately the best team in the SEC and I think they will prove that over the last few conference games and in the conference tourney.

Being #1 even if for only 1 night was nice, but like one of their players said after the Memphis game, being #1 at the end of March is what is really important. The Vols tried hard, but didn't seem to be emotionally into it for this game. Vandy was sky high, but Foster is the one that killed the Vols. Had an unbelieveiable night shooting 3's. The Vols may have left it all on the Memphis court. The Vols had better get ready for Kentucky. Pay back time at Ktown.

Well the refs wouldn't let anybody play, about the only points you'd get would be from the free throw line!!

Not really but those refs would stop the clock everytime Tennessee would start up a play...

There were many bad calls, and many things the refs should've called. Like when our guy called a time out and the Vandy guy jumped on him... COME ON REFS

it doesn't get any easier.....honestly i would rather lose the next 2 games and go into the tournament hungry....rather than ranked number one with the big head!!!

if there ever was a great time to lose one, it is right now!

it only matters what you are ranked when the tournament is over.

My big question is why does Jordan Howell even own a jersey? he is not very good. i am pretty sure i could drive around him, he can not shoot, is never a threat to drive and i love to see him bring it across half court and pick his dribble up. I taught my kids not to do that in UPWARD basketball!

I would rather see Brian williams run the point than Howell.

And by the way, if there was an unsung hero in the Memphis game. he came in the 1st half and grabbed 3 O reb in 3 possesions and 3 D rebs. He should be a very good player next year if he keeps the weight off!

My heart bleeds for Josh Tabb. Talent warms the bench while Jordan Howell white boys us to death :)

I agree FHS, perfect time to lose... but I'll be at the game Sunday, so I hope that trend ends quickly.

i was wondering why they did not put tabb over on Foster. isn't he 6-4? lofton is 6-1 standing on a step. it was just not a good match up with a 6-7 (2) guard. i know why Pearl did it, Foster is not a driving threat and Lofton is not a great defender so the match up makes since but Foster was lights out and Lofton could not get a hand in his face enough to disrupt his shot. But Tabb is bigger and very good defender i would have liked to see what he could have done.

I have griped about the officiating, and i listened to sport talk yesterday and everyone else griping and even some of them called in about PEARL'S bad coaching! good grief!!! i am not even going to comment on that!

The vols were exhausted, but the biggest reason we lost is Tyler Smith had the flu and you could see he did not have that high gear he usually has. You could really see it when rebounding. Tyler Smith is something special and every great team has had one of those guys!
