Myrtle Beach Fishing?????

The Family and I will be going to Myrtle Beach from July 12th to the 19th. Does anyone have any fishing experience in this area? I will probably take a charter out one day but would like to fish some more in the area.</p>

Really depends on where you are staying.... North Myrtle - Cherry Grove area can be okay from the surf, and there are some inner coastal areas that can hold some fish in numbers, but usually not anything huge.... And south of the strip there are some charter operations and fishing areas that are "less traveled". Pretty much just get away from the hustle and bustle of the strip! I haven't been there in years, but I can only imagine that the place has grown a bit. It can be a very busy place. Maybe ride a bit further south toward the Islands and you can get some "virgin" areas to fish. If there is such a thing down there....
