I'm going to try and bring the NBT (National Bass Fishing Trail) nationals to Nickajack or Chickamauga in June 2011. NBT is a growing federation and it's the only national organization with a full juniors division meaning that the kids get to fish every tournament.
The way we do our nationals the 2011 event would actually be the championship for the 2010 season. We do that so the kids will be off school to compete. Full info on the league is on our site and www.NBTbass.com.
I'm trying to improve and grow the TN district and I'm trying to bring more in from the Chattanooga side of the mountain as the district had been primarily on the Tims Ford side. Membership growth will go a long way toward bringing the nationals here.
To qualify for our 2 day classic adults must fish 3 one days and juniors must fish 2 one days. To qualify for the nationals adults must fish the 3 one days and the classic and juniors must fish their 2 one days and the classic. The TN district has 2 more tourneys on Nickajack this year and our classic is there. We have 2 more on Woods Res. and one on Center Hill May 2. You could also fish a tournament or two with the AL North district and they go to Guntersville on June 6 and Aug. 8.
I'd love to hear what you guys think about growth and which lake you would prefer.
