Sure do wish there would have been some company on the water yesterday. emoLaugh From the count I got there were 7 tournaments between Hale's Bar and Shellmound with 120+ boats all together. I also saw other people fishing but have no idea where they found a parking spot. emoScratch
NBT had 8 adults and 5 juniors in competiton. NBT National Vice President and AL North Director Donnie Story won with 5 fish for 9.53 pounds ($219). Brent Sain was second with 3 for 8.40 ($85). Robert Damron had the big fish with a 5.76 largemouth ($45).
On the junior side my favortie fisherman Hank Lowrie ignored the A-rig/T-rig trend and worked the jig to notch the win. He had 3 fish for 8.46 and had the big fish of 3.28 ($40 + $25). New member Kyle Ingleburger took second with 1 fish for 2.76 ($10). Hank's win also got the adult in his boat his entry fee back ($50). Thanks son! emoDance And to top it off Hank also won the drawing for the $25 Academy Sports + Outdoors gift card. All juniors also received tackle packs.
Welcome to new members Bubba and his son Kyle Ingleburger, and Chris Oliver. Thanks to VP Donnie Story his junior Denver Satterlee and Gary Woods for coming up and fishing from the AL North district.
Our next tournament is 3-31-12 on Tims Ford out of Devil's Step and it is an open tourney with no membership required. It will be a great chance to practice for those planning on fishing the Coke Classic April 7 on Tims. Would love to have a huge crowd for that one so spread the word.
It was nice getting to talk to some of the CFF guys at the ramp in the morning. Great group that is always frendly and courteous. emoThanks
David.
