Well it was another one of those tough days Saturday for the NBT group on Nickajack. The rain made it tough on some of the juniors and one adult who forgot rain gear. Also the director...yours truely...struggled most of the morning as I'm still getting over surgery. But we all pulled through.
The winner on the Junior side was Dakota Cantrell with 3 fish for 5.32. He got $52, a Secret Weapon bait and an All Pro rod for the win. It was Dakota's first win this season breaking a dry spell for him. Second place was my favorite junior...Hank Lowrie with 2 fish for 4.10. He got $18. Big fish went to Logan Stewart with a 2.54 largemouth. He got $35.
On the adult side Josh Watts brought in the only limit for a total of 8.78 and won $266. Ty Hickerson, (your mechanic at Nichols Marine in Red Bank) was second with 1 fish for 4.91. That got him $114 for second and $50 for big bass.
I'd like to welcome new members Trevor and Alex Prince from Blue Ridge, GA, and Donnie Fults from McMinnville. All now have a chance to qualify for next year's nationals on Chickamauga.
Thanks to everyone who came out and fished!
David.
