The few and proud from the TN district showed up to Center Hill and battled tough fishing. And I mean tough.
Brent Sain won the tourney with a two day total of 8 fish for 15.00 pounds. He got $304 plus $500 in bonus bucks. John Elliott was second with 6 fish for 12.50. Second didn't pay except for the bonus bucks and John took $250 for that. Brent had big fish day one for 2.52 and John had it day two with a 2.82. Each were worth $40. Brent ends the season as Angler of the Year.
Kyle Ingleburger won the junior side with 3 fish for 7.43 pounds. He got $60 plus $200 in bonus bucks. Hank Lowrie was second with 3 fish for 2.95. It also didn't pay a place but had $100 in bonus bucks. Kyle had big fish both days with a 3.80 and a 2.02. Both were worth $30. Hank ends the season as Angler of the Year.
We hope to give out awards on Friday Nov. 30 at Jim Oliver's Smokehouse in Monteagle once I confirm the date with them.
