WHATS IT DONG???

its a motor and boat im considering buying.. the motor is locked up.. its probably needs to be rebuilt.. but the motor is very nice and super clean trying to get an estimate of cost and see if worth buying the boat..

where are you located?? I know of two real good mechanics down here in Dalton. One of them just rebuilt my Merc 225 year before last. Dont know if youre looking to travel this far though....

But Dalton Marine is where Ive always gone. Wally is who you need to talk to.

Or Eddie Amos of Boats and Motors of Dalton is very good and has a large clientele. Both would steer you in the right direction.

Wally used to do all my work when I lived in Dalton... one of the best around... he used to always have a long list of work to do... took a while to get the boat in to see him, but he is well respected.

Outboard Doc on Bonny Oaks. Has always been priced fair and I have had gotten good repair work with Glen. KF

Ditto Kingfish's reply. Glen rebuilt my 50 Evinrude this spring. No complaints.

I have to agree with churly on Glen Gamble/Outboard Doc. I personally have not had to take my boat to him but he has rebuilt a Johnson for my Dad in the past. Ran like a champ.

MARINE SPECIALTY FIXED MINE DID A GREAT JOB EVEN CLEANED THE BOAT AND VACUMED IT FOR ME AT NO CHARGE

I agree TAz. His hands are the only ones to ever work on my motor. He rebuilt my ProMax and it hasn't had the first hiccup since. He definately has a heck of a large following! But Ive still got to give Eddie credit where its due. Hes never worked on mine, but Ive never heard anything but good things about him.

Well dont need a mechanic after all ended buying a boat that already runs but thanks for all the suggestion Im sure sometime i will need one..Picking it up tomorrow and will post some pictures my 7 year old son has never been so excited and ready to fish LOL
