Can anyone recommend someone in the area that replaces boat carpet? I'd like it done over the winter if possible.

My Tracker had its 8th birthday this year and the carpet needs replaced. I put 50 hours a week year-round on that poor boat the first three years I had it, and I literally wore the carpet down to the backing. Now its starting to pull free. The carpet is practically gone in the cabin area and on the front deck. Since I only need the walking surfaces recovered, I'd like opinions on using something like Cabela's Tuff Coat instead of carpet. It's a rubberized polyurethane non-skid coating similar to Rhino-Liner for truck beds.

Need tight weave with a marine backing. The rubber coating your looking at will work....OR...call Lancer or Sparta Carpets in Dalton. They deal with marine grade everyday and may be able to hook you up with enough to get it done.

If they wont go direct...PM me.

Curious, whats the cost in sq yards your looking at ?

The cost for the Tuff Coat is under $100, with me handling the labor. Haven't priced carpet yet because I'm looking for a reputable place to have it done. I'd rather not tackle the carpet job myself. The luck I've had lately with sharp objects precludes me from handling a carpet knife.
