O.K. gang I just found out today that there is a huge Tx on the Chick on April 28th. Cash to be given out hourly and for the top ten places and prizes for 11th through the 20th place. Over $12,000.00 in cash and prizes guaranteed already. That is the same day I was planning to have our CFF that I was doing out of HBSP. The big one is going out of Chester Frost and is being sponcered by half the town and Sportmans Warehouse.emoDoh Shoot, I may even want to fish it myself. It is a charity Tx with the proceeds going to Silverdale Baptist Academy which is the church I attend when I am not on the lake.emoRedface I was thinking we need to move this event. What do you all think? I am afraid some of the fella's that may have fished ours will be in that one.emoScratch Jmax

Yeah, I saw the flyer. For an entry of $150, the payout and prizes are pretty good. However, the money will attract heavy-hitters so you better be on some good fish if you want to compete.

It's your event...you can make any changes you want.

Jason the thing that I thought was cool was the hourly $250.00 to the biggest bass of the hour. Anyone could win an hour it only takes one bite. I think this one was put togather well. So I wanted to see how many other CFFers were going to fish it and then make the call. If we move it, it will have to be the week after next on the 12th in order to fit it in when there isn't already a bunch going on.emoScratch Jmax

How exactly will they know the "biggest bass" of every hour? Do you call in on a cell phone and then they come to your boat and weigh it?emoScratch

Hmmm...I cant afford the entry fee but if theres still enough intrest in the CFF Harrison and you want to fish the Chester Frost Tx,Jmax, I can run the CFF one for you...

Just a thought.

emoUpsmile That would be cool if they did. No stumpjumper, you go to the weigh in site if you have a good one that hour and weigh it in. If yours is the best that hour then you win $250.00 right there that hour. It may keep some guys closer then normal.emoCool Jmax

Gotcha. Yeah, it may keep some closer like you said. You will lose a lot of fishing time running back to CF, but it is a neat idea to draw more boats.

Bbass, that is what I am looking for,...so you would rather fish ours? Is anyone of you guys that were going to fish ours now going to fish theirs? If we still have enough interest I am game to play with ours. If it is too small a turn out then we may need to move it or I may take you up on that Bbass. This time of year I can at times put 20 lbs in the boat so I am interested in the big one when normally I would not be.emoBigsmile Jmax

Jmax, I dont fish the CFF's but I think if it was me, I would plan the CFF for another date since you have time , and most of the people are on the Forum anyway. The lake will be "full" that day. Just my .02

Sounds like a reschedule to me too! BBass I'll split the entry free with you and then you have to split the proceeds from the tx with me! emoLaugh

Like a sponsorship ...

TT

Reschedule it is but when? We sure got a lot on the caendar already in April and may. What about the day of the Crackerfest and we can have the two events togather with the ones that want to bass fish enter this one and those with kids that want to cracker fish do that event. Will make the event that much bigger overall??????emoScratch I think most of our bass guys and gals do not do the crakerfest anyways. That would be May 5th????emoConfused Jmax

I know several of us who like to bass fish were planning on Crackering that day including myself.

There is not open days for it at all. Anyone like another day better then any other? It seems like no matter when I schedule it there is another Tx going on or something happening that day.emoDoh Suggestions?

Let's just leave it where it is. If we have enough to put it on we will. If I decide to fish the big one then Bbass will put it on. It will depend on if we have enough folks to even have this one. There is no good day in April or May. Every day has some event of ours or a big one going on. With that said please if you decide not to fish ours take your name off so we can get a true count. It is bad when folks say the are coming and then never show up.emoDoh Jmax

I will not be able to fish either one of them that weekend but if I could I would the CFF just because of the entry fee and also because I have not been able to fish a CFF yet. On that note the same day as the C-Fest is a good idea for me. I can fish that day and I would fish for Bass anyways.. just my two cents.
