Need help fixing my trolling motor

It is an all terrain minn kota 40 lb thrust foot controlled.. Was using it today and all of sudden it felt like I hit something which I know wasn't possible as i was in 20 ft of water.. Ever since this happened it is in continuous mode ..The switch has 3 positions on off and continuous but even in on it runs in continuous has any one else ever had this problem and have any ideas on what might need to be done to fix it

Let me see if I understand ? It runs on continuous but no other mode ? If so its prob a bad foot switch or the 3 way switch could be bad.

Yes thats correct Im going to try and replace the three way switch first and see if that helps.. anyone know a good place local that stocks minn kota parts like that?
