Hey I got a 40hp suzuki 4-stroke on a 16ft aluminum. I'm looking to get a stainless prop and I don't know much about them. What brands are best for the money? What about pitch? I would like the best of both worlds...get up out of the water and good top end speed. Like I said I know nothing about it. thanks

You don't want to over rev your motor. Find out the WOT or wide open throtle and make sure that you stay right at WOT or a tad under going by your tach. If your motor is running exactly at this speed just buy a SST prop the same size, the size is stamped on the side of the prop. If you are over reving buy one that will bring the rpm's down or if you are under reving, buy one that will bring the rpm's up. You might work out a deal with your dealer where you purchased the motor, maybe he will loan you a few props to try to find out what you need.
