I got some reels that are priced well. i got the revo orras ($95) and some daiwa megaforce plus ($85). if you want to go up from there, i have curados ($150), revo s(110), sx(145), stx(160), winches(160), etc. and i will beat BPS price guaranteed.

if you want a good combo for under $200. you could get a skeet reese rod and a revo s for 185, a vendetta and a revo s for 175, or even a carrot stix and an orra for 210.
call me if i can help you with anything.

your prices sound really good..but i have a question. one thing i like about ordering from bps is the 2 year gear guard warrenty for $20. if i mess up the reel/rod in anyway they replace both. do you have any type of warrenty?

i have the standard manufacturers warranty on all products i sell. on carrot sticks and skeet reese rods its lifetime warranty. vendettas is 3 yr warranty. as for the reels, i think they all carry a 1 yr manufacturers warranty.
your a lot less likely to have a problem with a curado and a carrot stix than a bass pro brand rod and rod and reel.

okay guys ive ruled the daiwa out. and now its between the rick clunn combo or the carbon light. which one??

Hey Jim I bought a couple of mojo bass rods from Corey and he referred you for some good prices on reels. I was looking at ordering couple of bait casters from bass pros this weekend. They are the Pro Qualifier Baitcast Reel's made by basspros. They look like the pic below and run $80. Any chance you have any of those?

Hey Andy he doesn't have any BPS reels but he has some other reels at his place that are much better then that. He has a few Dawia reels that are around the same cost as that BPS reel and it would be a better buy.

I agree with Blake. I have personally bought and used many bps reels. except i used the high end johnny morris reels. most never made it over 1- 2 summers. so i gave up on them and moved on and they were expensive reels (about $200). i think if you go online to some other fishing sites and read the reviews you will find most people agree.
but i understand the price point issue. i will tell you this, buy the best that you can afford and do your research, cause if your like me you dont want to be buying new reels every yr or two.

I am really interested in the ABU revo s and sx but hate to spend that kind of money on something and not use it. Seems the more I pay for something the less fish I catch with it. I have a couple Daiwa reels on mojo bass rods and they always end up taking a back seat to my Mitchell reel on a $50 Berkley lightning rod. emoLaugh If it aint broke dont fix it I guess. I'm sure it's 90% mental and 10% equipment but I have honestly lost so many fish using that Daiwa in comparison to my Mitchell. I think my next baitcaster needs to be a left handed set up (even though I'm right handed). I dont know, maybe I just need to get with you and see what feels right. Thanks
