Can anyone recommend a good lodging place to stay that has boat tralier parking space. I have not fished the Chick and would like to be close to a good ramp if possible. i try to read the reports to keep in touch with whats going on and it seems like the Chick is ready to bust wide open. thanks.

Chester frost or Harisson Bay State Park would be your best bet both have good ramps and have nice camping facilities.
There may be some other camp grounds on the upper end depending on where your coming from. There really aren't many nice hotels close to the lake.

check in Dayton. They recently rebuilt the ramp and have several motels to choose from

Here in Chattanooga most all of the nicest Motels that have fenced areas to keep trespassers out are all located in areas along the interstate I can not recall an active travel lodge type motel up Hixon Pike that would be near Chester-Frost Park, Nor Can I recall one up 58 Hwy that would have you near to Harrison Bay. Around Hamilton Place near I-75 at Shallowford Road there are several. I-75 at Ringgold Road (41 Hwy) there are several as well. Anywhere in the area you will be no more that 30 to 45 minute max to several good launch ramps. If you stayed on the lower end of 58 Hwy you would be 5 minutes to the Dam ramp. !2-15 minutes to Harrison Bay and Wolftever.. And 20 Minutes+/- to Chester Frost. Now maybe some one can get very detailed from here... Do a little Google searching and make a few phone calls to verify the parking space needed... Notice! Here is no different than anywhere else. Please do not leave valuables in your boat... Have a pleasurable visit in Choo Choo Town.

For what it is worth, the ABA stayed at the Best Western and Bonny Oaks and Lee Highway last year. Not too bad a drive to Harrison Bay. They had room to mpark boats but I don't know about electric hook ups.

I will be coming from Bristol TN. Planning on a trip in March or April this spring. I am still new to fishing the river run lakes. Usally fish the upper lakes South Holston, Boone, Cherokee, Douglas. I need to learn how fish grass and the river ledges for sure. The CFF is a great Fishing Forum. thanks for asking.

For future information on lodging at Chickamauga we have a house on Birchwood Pike 5 minutes from boat ramp at Skull Island in Harrison, tn
Thanks
