My wife and I moved here from Texas a few years ago. We are looking to volunteer to serve a Thanksgiving meal to homeless, or anyone else. In Houston, they used to have the Thanksgiving Feast in the convention center for the homeless, people that didn't have anywhere else to go, or anyone that wanted to come in. It was usually a lot of fun and we met some very interesting people while we ate after our shift. This was a free meal, all donations of food came from the public and volunteers cooked and served up the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. We used to volunteer for this every year and it became a tradition for us to do before we went to our family's house for dinner. My question is this. Do they do anything like that here? I haven't been able to find anthing on the net or the newspapers. Any help would be appreciated

They had a story on the news a couple days ago about a place on holtzclaw avenue across from the army national gaurd post. I cant remember who was in charge but i do remember them saying they would serve food between 5 pm and 7 pm. Not much info, but hope it helps!
