Hi I havent been able to do much fishing since I have been busy with schoolwork lately. I am wondering what are some great places that fish are biting right now that can be accessed from shore.

I am looking to catch anything that bites, hopefully with some keepers to stock the freezer with.

I am familiar with fishing the chester frost pier, but have not had time to fish it this season. I have heard that wolftever creek is doing pretty well right now, but I have nearly zero experience there except for once when I went there to the pier and got skunked and sunburned.

The main focus of this trip is to try to get my sister on some fish.

So where might I be able to go to try to help her be as successful as possible? Also what kind of bait is working the best at the moment? Minnows have always been reliable for me in the past.

Also what depth are the fish at the moment? Are they in shallows near the bottom, or are they staying suspended?

Any tips would be great. I really would rather not drive any further than harrison bay state park.

The bridge at wolfteever should be good right now. Take some 1/16 and 1/32oz crappie jigs in assorted shad colors and I'm sure you can have some fun

Below the Dam at River Park, everyone rants and raves about throwing Fooley spoons over there and catching anything and everything that swims. When I used to bank fish I would see people fishing off the piers at Booker T Washington for crappie all the time.

Thanks for the advice. How does booker T or chester frost fish in the fall? I know that crappie like to do a fall run up into tributaries, but do they also go into bays or inlets?
