Second one from top. I have had about 10 of these and always work well for me. Get 2 for $100.
For some reason they are not selling it in the ultralight weight anymore, they may be phasing this particular series out. I like the ultralight better but the light action work fine too.
I really like Quantum x36 graphite 2 piece rods that are 5' 6" in length. Great for dock shooting and open water fishing. They run about $35 or so. Not very expensive, but a very good rod with guides that I prefer.
Call grizzly jigs co. and see if they have the 6' american rodsmith limit stix crappie rods left. They are 30.00 but good backbone for shooting or casting. Also other places sell B N M sharpshooters but they are 5'6'' long also are good for shooting and casting and cost around 35.00. Grizzly #573-333-9866.
I just got the new B'N'M Sharpshooter Six in and used it all weekend. I was very impressed with it for shooting docks and it was easily able to cast 1/32oz jigs to some Whites busting shad on the surface. I am thinking about ordering another.
I personally have 2 combos I picked up at WM. Zebco SharpShooter. It's a 5'6" light action 2 piece rod and a I would say a 10 series reel. I bought one earlier in the year and it worked out well. I found another on sale recently for $10. Can't beat that with a stick.
IMO you cant beat the lews rods for the $$$ I have several now for bass fishing and im sure the 8 10 and 12 footers for crappie would be about the same as far as value for $$$
