Looking to get a new fish finder. New to using them, just use the in dash Lawrence x 28 for depth that came with the boat. Anyone have any ideas on a user friendly fish finder $200-$550 range. I want something easy to use but don't want to sacrifice quality. Thanks for the help.

man i seen a new in the box lowrance 5x go for $370.00 on ebay this morning,,you will get a lot of opinions on here between lowrance and humming bird,i have had both brands and they both have performed flawless, the new hds units are the way to go,down or side imaging can be a plus exsp. on the bigger units, but i have heard mixed feelings how they work,, varies with the type of structure and the avaible cover that is on it will depend what type of image you get,,big $$$

Bout time you got a fish finder zach lol. I take it the lack of fish yesterday got you thinking about it? Ill help you do some research into them. Hell ill even chip in some cash since we will be using it to fish some tournaments.

I just bought a Lowrance HDS 5 on ebay for about $400... So worth the money! The gps and color chart is amazing..
