Hello All.....Thanks for the great tips. I really have the fishing fever and can't wait to get out on the lake. I have fished the Hiwassee River (landed a 8lb Walleye), Weiss Lake (landed a 4lb 1oz crappie), Watts Bar (landed a 5lb 5oz small mouth bass) and of course I love to deep sea fish (Grouper and Red Snapper). Striper fishing is one of my favorite and BIG cats.

We canceled our Florida trip and decided to try Nickajack. So I am taking Mom, Dad and Uncle fishing (we wanted to stay close to home for Uncle).

Thanks again for the warm welcomes.

19" Bass would weigh around 4.5 to 5lbs best I recall. A 8 Pound LM would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 23-24 inches.

The lg mouth was really fat......nice fish. I would love to get into the tournaments......but I need a boat, sold mine a couple of years ago. I am thinking about getting another one this year....if the darn economy will pick up....until then I will just have to find fishing buddies (that is where Dad comes in....Great Dad!)

He was full of spinner baits and heavy water. You know how much mercury is in the river up that way.emoLaugh

I can't believe you guys made me get the tape measure out........ emoScratch
Okay so I was not exactly right (I don't like being wrong) emoSmile the lg mouth measures 23" and the Crappie is at 18" (approx).

You know when you're talking fish the sizes can change at the drop of a hat or should I say hook.

I will have the pics online tomorrow.
