Hey, I'm heading to Chattanooga the first week of August on my way to GA.

Heading down a day early and I'm hoping to find a place in Chattanooga to fish for a day and camp over night before I head down to Henry Co, GA.

Any suggestions are welcomed, there's a ton of info online, but some tips from locals or folk that fish out there a lot would be great. I wont have a boat, thinking about bringing my Kayak, but not sure if I want to tote that around for a week and on a 10hr drive back.

Thanks in advance!

Harrison Bay is a great place to camp and Chester Frost Park as well and they both have good fishing from the bank or a boat.

yea, the kayak would be a pain.

Chester Frost looks great! How much of the bank can you fish out there? Is it over fished at all? What do ya'll use out there? I'd imagine baits are a little different in that climate

I would say bring your walking legs and try to cover the whole thing. Use plastics preferably on a shakey head or just throw a texas rig.

Anything specific like minnows or craws work best out there?
