Here are some images of the new NEMA Display for new Humminbird Hardware Features for 2012. There will be some customazation of the screens but not 100% sure all the custom features. These are images from Marketing Department to show examples of what is to come real soon. NEMA Views show Twin Engine Display but will also work with Single Engines hooked to a NEMA

For the NEMA 2000 connection you will need the NEMA 2000 Bridge:

And a NEMA 2000 Backbone. Many Manufacturers already produce NEMA 2000 Backbones so Humminbird just built an adapter to connect to this backbone and connect to their units. Here's a place you can purchase and build your own NEMA 2000 Backbone: http://www.thegpsstore.com/NME....aspx

Here's an image I found on the Radar:

Don't forget that Humminbird also introduced the Ethernet Hub that will connect multiple units or accessories and can be stacked if additional ports are needed more than the 5 included in Hub:

doug, is there a list of engine compatibility somewhere ? and what would i need to hook up my 898 to a 2000 model optimax ? i looked on the humminbird site but couldn't find anything.

You will need the NEMA Bridge to hook to a NEMA 2000 Backbone. Humminbird does not sell backbones since there are numerous manufacturers already for that hardware.

arrrrrrrrrrrrrgggg did some more digging on the mercury side of it and found out that merc never did get on board with nema 2000 emoBang merc has a proprietary system for their "smart gauge " set up . from what i have seen so far even the newest mercs dont support nema 2000
