After hearing about CFF from a few friends of mine, I finally decided to register as a member. I have gained quite a bit of information from member posts in the past, and hope I can now assist others by doing the same.

I enjoy fly fishing for pretty much anything that swims. This includes warm water, cold water and salt water species. I consider myself a "bream bum" as that is my favorite target. I have actually driven to other states just to catch different species of the mighty bream and it's cousins.

Have rod and will travel...

It's good to have another fly rodder here on the forum. I enjoy using my flyrods but I don't fish farm ponds much and so I find that I don't catch fish on them much before or much after the spawn. I do have sinking lines but it's not as much fun to use them. How do you continue to use them when the fish go deep after the spawn?

FRR ! Glad to have you aboard!

I use lots of weighted flies and a full sinking line and splitshot. As you said, not as much fun, but sometimes you have to "chuck and duck" if you want to go deep.

Do not let Rob kid you. He is an excellent fly fisherman and trout guide. You have heard him on my radio show a couple of times. If you need flys tied, he is your teacher. I call him the "Trout Professor" !!!!!!!! Oh yeah, he will catch other things too.

Welcome Rob, glad you finally joined.
