Lots of people are excited about the new Publix supermarkets coming to the Chattanooga area. One of the really cool things they have is an automatic water mister to keep produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of thunder and the smell of fresh rain.

When you approach the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and then witness the scent of fresh hay

When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle, and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying.

The veggie department features the sound of a gentle breeze and the smell of gresh buttered corn.

That's all great, but I'm afraid I'm just not going to be buying toilet paper there.

Your a sick-sick man FA!

All kidding aside, I not only grew up with Pulix being from FLA, but I even worked for one many years ago. They are a really great market, and I cant believe it has taken them this long to get HERE. I have little doubt they will put Bi-lo and the rest out in a few years. One of the best features of the store is the bakery dept, it is second to none, as far as a general supermarket goes.

I honestly wish that one would open in Dalton. I lived in Alpharetta, Ga for a couple of years, while in college, and absolutely loved Publix stores. Had a couple of friends that worked there. :)
