New Rod

I have been kicking around the idea of buying a new rod to throw Texas and Carolina rigged plastics. Has anyone used the Fenwick HMG Casting Rod? Or have any other suggestions on a rod? I had been thinking about either that Fenwick or a Duckett Ghost or Micro Magic.

I bought a Cashion CRT 7'3" MH from Johnny at DJs Marine. Although I did catch a couple fish on this rod throwing a carolina rig, it is a little too "light" for my C rig style. I throw 3/4oz a lot and i prefer a little stiffer rod. I personally use a Halo Twilight 7'6" H. Its not as heavy as most in that power rating and its a little more stout than most MH. I think its perfect. Now the Cashion seems great for all my T rig applications. Real light and sensitive for a real good price, gonna have to pick up some more when I sell my rods from this past season.

CRT rods are ok for the price , but their Elite rods are much better .

My Father in law has switched to fenwick. He loves them. Light weight and nice cork.

That is what had me interested in the Fenwick. I really liked the weight and the feel of the cork handle.

Fenwick is a great brand or even check out the All star rods also. The Ast is the best feel and action for the money. Let me know if I can help

I would rate Cashions way above Duckett micro magics.
