Well customs finally released the new reels from China. Will give these a very serious working over this year.
They are Fishdrops. Cost was 49.95 each. Carbon fiber and aluminum. All have 18 bearings and 18 lbs of drag.
Here's the catch, they are ultralight. I fish lighter than most everyone. Even tournament Striper fishing I never fished with any heavily line than 17 lb test. Never broke a fish off either in 6 years of this.
Rods are Diawa Triforce and Exceler, medium action with light tips. I am throwing 8, 10, and 12 test for crankbaits and small spinner baits.
Every fish as Roland Martin says, should be a good one!!
