I'll check that out Buzz.
It's pathetic. I was born in 1950... I hardly recognize America I once knew!
Kids today really need dads and grand dads to take 'em hunting/fishing.
Anyway, this law is a step back to normalcy.

As an HCP holder, to be honest, I have mixed feelings about this. I believe in the 2nd Amendment rights, but have concerns about some of the folks who will now be carrying a loaded weapon. I understand that gang-bangers, drug-dealers, & the like already carry illegally, but this sorta makes it legal for them to do so now. If they have no prior convictions, which, however unlikely, is still possible. Not to mention the mentally challenged and unstable who may go off for no apparent reason. I suggest all LEOs upgrade their equipment on this one. BTW Geno, I was born in 1952, and I can't ever remember it being legal (by default, "normal") to carry a loaded weapon in a vehicle except perhaps out west, until we were able to obtain a carry permit.

I agree flpper. Born in 48, Dad gave me my first pistol at 16. I suppose we will have wait and see how this plays out. THERE will be "such" incidents, as road rage, paranoid people, and those that are just a little too unstable to carry a gun all the time. I have mixed feelings also. I think, it should be for HCP's only. I know many will disagree.....but now the fuse is lit.....we can only hope that those carrying......will also, accept the responsibilty, that goes with it. I also agree....about the LFO's.

I for one am all for it, this is for law abiding citizens. There is nothing on this earth going to keep gang bangers, dealers and phsycotic people from carrying a firearm or any other weapon. They are already breaking the law just by owning said firearm.

Well flpper I never felt the need to carry in my early life. Times have changed was my point. Now days I do feel a need to carry. "Mentally" challenged folks and nere do wells are going armed whether legal or not.
God gives me the right to protect my family and myself, the founding fathers recognized that and provided us the constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
Yes, freedom can be dangerous in the hands of fools- such is life. I do not like the idea of politicians arbitrarily deciding what constitutes " mental health "... I'm too wierd :)
It will allow my wife to protect herself until she can get HCP. She is aware of when she should and should not use deadly force, aware of what to do if it comes to that, and litigation in civil court from the bg's family. BTW even a complete fool can obtain an HCP.

It's been this way in GA for a long time. YOUR car is an extension of YOUR household and as long as you are a legal gun owner you can carry in your car legally without a CP, if you are in someone else's car though and carrying a gun it's a crime. I think this is the way it should be.

I can understand a hangun and am all for it, but Rifles? These poaching road hunters will really be out and about and not have to worry!

I am 65 and have carried a gun all my life in my truck or car. Never had a call to use it so it just sits there ready. I got caught many years ago in Nashville with one in the car and when ask in court why I was carrying a gun I told the judge," I would rather you catch me with it than a lot of the trash out there to catch me without it." He fined me 125.00 and cost and kept the gun because it was not registered to me.
