Unbelievable Tennessee deer!!! What a BRUTE!! It shouldn't shrink much in the 60 days it has to dry. Talk about being in the right place at the right time and making sound decisions over a couple days. What an accomplishment!

Very nice. Congratulations to him.

Great deer.the one that hunters dream about what a monster.

That would be a tough one to score with all the kickers and stickers and stuff!

RE: New TN record non-typical buck, 47 points. May be a new world record.

The report I first read said this deer came out of ohio up above columbus. might check with twra to verify.

Did anyone ever verify this deer? I heard it was near Gallatin steam plant.

Re: New TN record non-typical buck, 47 points. May be a new world record.

I am curious if it has ever been verified as well. Can anyone say? Hear strange things about it. Or could be people just jealous and make stuff up.

The buck is legit, killed legit in TN. it will be scored and will smoke our current state record. I would expect the drying period to yield a final net score that will not beat the current world record but it will be one of the top 5 wild, free range deer to be taken by a hunter and one of the top 3 to ever be taken by muzzleloader. Any time a deer like this hits the ground tons of rumors will swirl.

Thats Awesome!! I have some family that live about 20 min from there. The best part of this story was reading the story a few times and then being out on the water fishing and hearing all the crap stories about this buck!! It's crazy how wrong people can be. I had one guy who knew more about it than anyone. Funny thing was his story did not match one thing about the original except that it was in Gallatin. Tennessee is the place to be so why in the heck would you want to move to Arkansas J-MAX??

I hear ya! emoThumbsup I will miss the fishing here and even the deer hunting. However I have some great lakes I know well in Arkansas to fish and some great places to hunt. Bottom line is Arkansas is home. We have most of our family there. My folks are buried there. I have a resting place there already for me and my wife too along side them. I am not gone yet. emoBigsmile Jmax

Yeah I totally get it. Hopefully you can wait a few years! There is nothing like home. My wife would love to go back to Louisville but there are no good lakes close by. So I told her she is stuck here! haha</p>
