New to CFF from Memphis

Hi folks! So glad to be here. We're coming to Chattanooga August 20. My husband has a business meeting the following week of the 22 & I was doing some research on what to do in Chattanooga & came across that we can fish at the dock. We've haven't been fishing in a years & thought we'd give it a go. Are there any inexpensive cabins on a lake or river near downtown? We check in the Marriott - company's paying for that - so we'd love to do some fishing before his meetings start on Tuesday. Any suggestions? What about fishing locations where we could sit on the bank, pier or dock? I'm disabled with Pulmonary Hypertension so I've got an oxygen tank & limited to where I'm able to go. Chuck needs a new hip so he's not in the greatest shape either We used to have a lake in the backyard so we KNOW we love to fish but like I said it's been a long time. We went out & bought our license & rods/reels so we are ready. We are open to all & any ideas.

There are some fishing piers below the dam at the river park to fish from that have easy access and are close to downtown.

There's a fishing pier at chester frost. I have seen alot of folks use it.
