Hi everyone. I got back into fishing after a number of years in late 2010 and I'm really geared up for this year. I live in Wildwood and will be fishing for bass/crappie/cats (in that order - and mainly for bass) in the Chick, Nick, and river gorge. Although I have never fished either, the Nick and river gorge are closer so I'll probably fish them some, but I'm normally in Wolftever on the weekends so I'll mostly be on the Chick. I joined the forum several months ago to bone up on the local fishing knowledge and have been very happy/impressed with everything shared here.
Just to give you some background on myself... I used to fish A LOT with my family (dad, uncles, cousins, etc.). However, once high school and college hit, I developed a whole new set of interests emoCool . If I have fished in recent years, it has been off our dock in WT emoBang . Since that wasn't very effective at all, I went out a few months ago and bought a cheap boat (1985 Stratos 375). I spent the first month or so getting her in good running condition and thought she was good to go a few weeks ago. I was heading back to the flats past Snow Hill bridge and she dies as I'm throttling back in the no wake zone. Found out she had a stuck carb so into the shop she went (she needed a major timing adjustment as well). A couple of weeks later and I finally got my first quality time out on the water. I spent all of Sat and Sun in WT exploring and trying to locate a few good spots so I didn't catch much but had a blast on a great weekend. I'm going to post my first fishing report this evening so I can upload one of my first catches on the new boat (I would've snapped the first but I was a little amped and forgot to grab the camera).
Anyway, I look forward to chatting with everyone and getting started in some of the local competitions once I get my feet under me (no telling how long that will be emoLaugh ).
