New to Town.

Hello all, My name is Gavyn and I am from Nashville, TN currently I am a sophomore at UTC. I have recently brought up my fishing gear to school and I want to start fishing more around here. Does anyone have mind giving me a few locations I could fish from the bank? Looking to invest in a kayak soon but want to get my lines wet before that! Any info or advice is greatly appreciated.

There are piers along the river at the River Park. Both Chester Frost Park and Harrison Bay have areas you can fish from the bank.

Down below the dam and around River Park below the dam is some great places to fish from the bank. Look for an older guy with a pony tail on the bank and if this other guy comes by in a raft difting an anchor you can join the guy with the pony tail and cast at the guy in the raft. They both really love each other. emoEvil

Naw, just kidding about that last line. But below the dam is a great place from the bank. The problem is many know it so you will not be alone. Welcome! emoWelcome Jmax

I actually joined the club yesterday! Thanks everyone for the info. Jmax I actually read the post on the man with the ponytail... Sounds like a rivalry I don't want to be a part of! Haha

Welcome fellow UTC Bass Club Member!! I spent many a days working the banks near UTC. My advice is go to the bank at the dam next to Chatt state.

And like the others said, there are plenty of team members with boats. You are also welcome to venture out with me sometime on my small "Raft" if you want!
