Fished below the dam this morning with my friend. No water running after 9:00am. Caught a couple of stripers,a couple of big drum and about 20 catfish. All fish caught on artificial bait. lots of fun on light line.

That second one looks like a hybrid to me, or "Cherokee bass" as they are known in some parts. Some of those lines look broken and the height of the fish to the length looks more the profile of a hybrid. What do you guys think? I know that sometimes the hybrids can really stack up down below the Nick. I wish that they would below Chickamauga.

What type "artificial" bait? I'd assume white jigs for stripers... but mainly wondering what kind of artificial those channel cats were hitting?

Lets hope the striper show up this year. By the looks of that one we may have a good year??? I was wondering about the channel cat artificial stuff also. Thanks for the post and pics. STEVE

I concure on the hybrid theory on the second fish. Anyway, good deal on catching some stripers those are some fighters and some of the funnest fish to catch in my book.
