Fished a little club Tx on Saturday, grand total of six boats. I was in the back this time, of a 21' Bullet with a 250 on the back and a lead foot on the pedal. I don't think I've ever gone so fast in a bass boat before! Anyway, we launched at 7:15, ran down to Bennets like everyone else, and got on a good school of fish right off the bat. My partner put three in the boat with a red rattletrap real quick, and I added two with a white chatterbait. We were culling by 8:15 which was pretty cool. About 9 we decided to see if we could hunt up a kicker, so we found a 2' deep flat with some wood on it and started pulling jigs across it. Took about a half hour to find one, my partner stuck a 6 1/2 on a brown jig. We tried for about two or three more hours to find another, but no luck. So with about an hour left we went back to Bennets and I managed to cull our last little one, again with the white chatterbait. We ended up in 1st with 15 lbs 8oz, 2nd was 12 something. We also had big fish. Water temp stayed around 56 all day, and the magic depth for the grass fish was 6 feet. All in all, a great day where everything actually worked as planned, which is rare. There was a another Tx from the same ramp (Sullivans) with quite a few boats in it, heard that 21 lbs won that one. Sorry no pics, didn't take camera because it was supposed to rain, it didn't. Great day to be out, hope some of the rest of you got to enjoy it, also.

Saw a bunch of you bass boys up in there saturday morning while we were cattin. Saw one guy working the main bank close to us. Glad ya'll won. Congratulations
