After getting waxed yesterday, decided to see if I could do any better on the Nick. Started off downriver and put two nice keepers in the boat as well as a few shorts. Went on a dry spell for a few hours and then late in the day we found a pocket with 63 degree water. We caught 7 more fish including 3 more solid keepers. That was the warmest water we saw all day. Best 5 would go close to 14#. All came from 5 foot or shallower on shallow cranks in shad colors In shallow pockets. Couldn't catch a fish on a trap.
