Here's one of our dinks, I don't want to scare you guy's with pics of the other fish we caught.... there would be whiskered monsters in your nightmares for weeksemoPoke . We'll be out there again first thing in the a.m. tommorrow, and that will be it till the 10th. See ya on the water!

Very clever drc - You gonna need to be handicapped 20 lbs posting pics with big fish like that! emoThumbsup Great job man! I have not prefished a bit...I hope to try myself sometime this weekend.

Good lookin fish Daniel....Best of luck to you in the Cold Cat...although I know with you its not luck. Folks this guy is the most knowlegable person I have ever met when it comes to Cattin!!!emoWorthy emoWorthy emoWorthy

DRC,

Do you think I'm scared of some guy that owns his own boat and consistently catches 70 and 80 lb blue cats?

Please note the sarcasm in that statement.

DRC, you're like the Michael Jordan of catfishing. Everybody pretty much knows about you, and you know very few of us. Hopefully you can't take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the tournament.

Fellas, take it easy... I'm just talking trashemoUpsmile . That was the only cat we caught today, actually the only bite we had. emoBawl At the first place we stopped I marked a good fish, dropped an anchor off the front of the boat and some skipjack off the back.... 10 minutes later we had this fish. It was the only cat we saw on the electronics all day, the rest of the area seemed empty.
Were going to fish a different area of the lake tommorrow and I hope we find more fish, if not were in troubleemoRedface .

I gotta work Sat. AM so I will miss out on the morning bite...but I will probably go back down there after work Saturday..I hope to see some large fish on the electronics even if I dont get a bite. I know im in trouble down there anyway but id like to at least make a showingemoThumbsup .

I'm not sure there are any cats left in Nickajack after today. Not because I caught them all, but a commercial fisherman that was fishing in my general area had nets full of them. Later that day I saw a HUGE floating blob of catfish guts drifting down the river... I don't know that he did it, but he was the only other boat around all morning. Most of the "blob' was just guts and stuff, but a few of the gut pouches still had cat heads dangling beneath them, I hope he leaves a few for us!

Wow, drc you still are the man when it comes to cats. I saw some skippies cutting up on the surface after threadfins at the WT creek bridge at Hwy 58 tonight at dusk. I couldn't believe it, jumps in February! It was great to see all that bait being crushed. I would expect that if someone was looking for skippies that they could get some there the next few nights.

Drc, maybe all those massacred cats got a whiff of your bait cooler and were just trying to jump into your boat...got caught by the prop. emoTongue

A HUGE gut blob huh? I hope the commercial anglers are only harvesting the legal size cats..

DHAUN,

I am with you, I hope that the commercial guys are following the law. Us rod and angler guys get much more pleasure out of those big cats.

by the way guys, southerncats is taking me and a new CFF member out for that tournament. His name is Scott, and he is one of my very best friends. He is just getting in from IRAQ, so I hope he gets into his first big blue cat. IN fact, I think he's only caught flatheads and channels back in Indiana. He has told me some neat stories from Iraq and we are lucky to have him. He talks about things that go on, that well, most of us would probably not be able to handle. Tracer guns coming at him from all angles, disarming bombs, etc.

SO I JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW, AN IRAQ SOLDIER WILL BE FISHING IN THE CFF TOURNAMENT, SO BE SURE TO SAY HI!!!!!
