Fished below the dam for several hours on Saturday morning for sauger with a friend. We had two keepers at the time then I had to leave around 8:30 a.m.. TVA cut the water off about 2:00 p.m. and my friend ended up with 6 keeper sauger for the day and he left about 2:00 p.m.. He caught lots of sauger, its just the keepers are few and far between.
MY son and I put in about 1:30 in the afternoon and we headed off down river with live bait and man those spotted bass were tearing it up. We went through about 70 or 80 shad in about 3 1/2 hours time. We caught alot of fish but we also missed alot of fish due to the bait being so big right now. You really have to spoon feed the bait to them when the shad are 4+ inches long. Call me and Charter a trip I've got February the 10th. still open.
