Fished with Nate and Adrian this weekend on Nick-a-jack. The first day was a little slower than usual but it turned on the second day. Nate and Adrian stayed at Hales Bar Marina where they rented a floating cabin for the weekend. I was really surprised by how nice the cabins were. They were impressed with the facility and their accommodations there and it also very affordable not to mention very convenient for me. Next client I will definitely suggest that they stay at the Hales Bar Marina. I can pick them up right at their room and it's much easier than having the client drive and try to find their way to a meeting spot. Client goes out their front door and onto my boat. They fished a full day the first day and caught approx. 15 fish and missing maybe that many more. They caught a mixed bag of fish Cherokee or white bass, Spots, Largemouth’s, Smallmouth and Striper. All fish were caught on LIVE BAIT. The next day Nate and Adrian fished was a half day trip and we started out pretty good with some nice fish but ended the trip strong with some nice Largemouth that were stacked up in some fairly deep water 22’ to be exact. We came across this spot almost by accident and Nate and Adrian worked those fish over for two hours before running out of bait. I lost track of how many fish that I took off but I would guess around 35 or 40 fish. I kept waiting for one of the two to rip up a 6 or 7 lb fish but we ran out of bait and they had to get back home to Middle Tennessee. I wanted to go back after I dropped them off but I’ve got another two guide trips this week. So I’m going to save the fish for my clients. Water temps at the peak daylight hour is about 55 to 56 deg. F. Bait is hard to get below the dam (worked my tail off both days for the bait and my shoulders and neck are soar) but should be easier to get in the coming weeks if the warm temps continue. I believe a cold front is suppose to roll thru for the weekend but that’s fishing.

Hey Berry, Thanks for the post and update on the bait situation. I've been wondering how you been doing down there. I guess I'll stick to the crappie for a couple more weeks.

You were just about to get a PM....I saw your truck at the ramp up in the day Sunday but never saw you! Well, its time to get the "spotter" out and find your hiding place......hehehehehe!! Good Fish!!

It's reports and pics like this that make it so hard to get through a work day..........and right in my own backyard !!

Congrats! Great report !
