Nick-A-Jack Fishing May 29th.

Fished below the dam and caught a few small stripe on Monday afternoon. The bait is getting harder to get below the dam making the fishing somewhat better. The Memorial day rush was on from Friday afternoon till late Monday evening so it was crowded below the dam as well as up on the lake. I got bait and took my chances up on the lake Sunday morning and Monday afternoon. My son and a friend of mine hit a couple of spots for some bass with the live shad and the fish are still hanging out around the 12 to 25 feet of water right off the main river channel and where there's a quick deep break. I'm setting the boat in shallow water (10-12') and throwing the shad out into the deep water (25-30') and letting the shad swim back to me. We caught approx 25 bass Sunday mrng. and approx. 35 Monday afternoon. A 4 or 4 1/2lb Largmouth was the largest fish. All fish were released back to their waters from which they came from for you tournament fishermen.
